We have mosquitoes in my world too! But they are much bigger and can't fly. They live in the south pole and have black and white feathers. They don't bite people, they eat herring.
Those are what we call penguins.

Dreamscape Driving 50 miles away from the Wind River Range. We are still on dirt roads and the terrain has gone from alpine mountains to flat plains.
