Lance Deutsch Lance passed away after a very brief illness. He began to feel ill late Saturday night and his illness progressed Sunday. At 5am Monday morning he was resting peacefully in bed when he stopped breathing. Born around October 5, 1990, he was 13 years old when he died on July 12, 2004. Lance was the sweetest dog I've ever known. Mandel and I will miss him dearly. Mandel continues to survive liver cancer and advanced arthritis. He has already lived long past his doctor's expectations and I think he plans to outlive us all. |
Mandel Deutsch Mandel passed away after a long struggle with cancer. He had been battling liver cancer for at least three years and dealing with the effects of advanced arthritis and general old age. He far outlived his doctor's best expectations. Born around April 1, 1990, he was 14 years old when he died on November 20, 2004. Mandel lived the perfect dog life. He and Lance and I had many years of great adventures, good times and companionship. I wouldn't trade our time together for anything. |

How do I sum up fourteen years with my two best friends and companions? They loved to sing. It sounded like a whole kennel full of dogs, but never lasted more than 60 seconds. I'm glad I recorded it. The first album in the list is a collection of pictures throughout their lives. The other albums are trips or activities or events in which Mandel and Lance participated and appear in the photos. Some short stories from when they were puppies are here.
