Rock Climbing --- 9/29/2007 - 9/30/2007 --- Gunks

Went to Aunt Kerri and Uncle Frank's house to see Jon, Mary, Julie, Wendy, Adam, Brett, Sherri, Mom and Dad. Then drove to the Gunks from there. On Sunday I met Kristin. We swung leads on CCK Direct. Then Kristin led both pitches of Andrew (to familiarize herself with the climb prior to teaching Gunks for COE). We rappelled Arrow, and from the first belay station I led the second pitch. Then we went to the Uberfall and I had another go at Retribution. I had to hang a bunch at the crux and then totally lost my lead head after finally pulling the roof. Did reach the anchors, but it wasn't pretty. That climb is so totally my nemesis. Kristin cleaned it in the dark and we hiked out by headlamp. Drove back to Ithaca, stopping for ice cream on the way.
