Gunks class fall break. I didn't bring my camera, so the pictures are mostly copied from facebook.

It rained Friday night, but the rock dried quickly enough on Saturday. Arielle, Julien and I climbed Frog's Head, Finger Locks or Cedar Box (with a random second pitch to the top), and Dirty Gerdie (the first time I've led this climb). Fernando, Tom and Tammy climbed Easy V and Red Pillar. Sheryl, Jamie and Guy climbed Easy O and RMC. Shay, Mike and Andy climbed Beginner's Delight and RMC. We finished the day with topropes on CC Route, Phoebe and Boston. Dinner was Tammy's awesome chili and banana boats for dessert.

Sunday Fernando, Shay and I climbed Tee Dum, Birdland (where we saw a huge black snake), and Layback. Mike, Arielle and Guy climbed V-3 and Madame G. Sheryl, Tom and Andy climbed Beginner's Delight and Frog's Head. Julien, Jamie and Tammy climbed Madame G and Cakewalk. End of day toprope was on Red Cabbage Right. Dinner was pasta parmarosa (parmesana? primavera?) with dessert burritos.

Monday we still had great weather. Sheryl, Mike and I climbed Gelsa, Disneyland, Jackie, Classic (1st pitches) and Dirty Gerdie. Shay, Arielle and Tammy climbed Son of Easy O, Drunkard's Delight and Strictly to Shockley's. Julien, Jamie and Andy climbed Disneyland, Yellow Ridge and Horseman. Fernando, Tom and Guy climbed Horseman, Laurel, Rhododendron, Jackie and Classic. This evening we grilled burgers back at the DEC and enjoyed smores.

It rained all Monday night, but the weather cleared nicely on Tuesday (and OBR left a day early! ha!) We started the day with basic self rescue lessons -- prussik and munter hitch -- while the rock dried. Then finished the trip climbing as a group with topropes on Bunny, Fancy Idiot, Retribution, Nosedive and Ken's Crack.
