Is it bad that when I set off for a solo day at the Gunks I bring a grigri to rope solo, and it doesn't even occur to me to bring my crash pad? I am SO not a boulderer.

Drove down to set tents for IORC and attempted a bit of climbing in before heading to Connecticut for Passover. Dropped a rope on Shit Or Go Blind. I wanted to try the direct variation. But I've been sick, and there was tons of rope drag with the grigri, and some third excuse for redundancy. So I made two half-hearted attempts at the roof, then packed my stuff and left.
